This unique species is native to Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, and Zaïre.  It has thick, paddle-shaped leaves with pink leaf venation and it is almost always in bloom.  The ovaries are large, and usually only one is produced per bloom cycle.  It is a smaller species, with leaves reaching 3-4″.  It grows quickly to mature size but remains compact.

The last photo is representative of the plants available. They are well-rooted and shipped meticulously in their pots.
