Begonia mabblerayana

A recently described species (2019) and classified by the IUCN Red list as critically endangered due to its limited distribution in Sulawsei.  It is found in only two locations and both are under threat from deforestation.  This species is a cane type that can grow to 30″ tall, however in terrarium conditions it often stays smaller.  Leaves are paddle-shaped with undulations at the tips.  It flowers readily and is a pretty sturdy species generally, although it does require very high humidity.

Available plants are well rooted in 4″ pots and will be shipped potted. The last photo is representative of the plants available.
