Begonia nigritarum

An incredibly diverse species from the Philippines. so diverse, it might be one of those ‘species’ that is actually a few distinct species but has yet to be sorted out yet.  Once it blooms it doesn’t stop blooming, tolerant of a wide variety of growing conditions and likes lots of root space.  This particular clone is somewhat standard looking for nigritarum, darker green leaves with brighter green spotting, and a long pink petiole. Jardinerongsunag has a great blog post about variability in nigritarum here.

Available plants are well rooted in 2″ pots and will be shipped potted.  The last picture is representative of the plants available.
