Begonia U690

Leaves are purple-green, with the purple most developed at the point of petiole attachment.  It has yellow flowers.  The stems are also that nice purple color, and covered in white hairs.  It has a wonderful corrugated leaf texture and hardy constitution.

(Previously identified as staudii x microsperma) If you were confused by the differences between B. staudii and microsperma, let this heighten the confusion! These two African species have been mistakenly identified in cultivation for years, even though it is quite possible to tell them apart even without flowers, they were mistakenly identified as creating this hybrid for years.

Available plants are well rooted in 2″ pots.  They will be shipped potted.  The last photo is representative of the size plant you will receive.
