Begonia staudii x microsperma

$30

If you were confused by the differences between B. staudii and microsperma, let this heighten the confusion! These two African species have been mistakenly identified in cultivation for years, even though it is quite possible to tell them apart even without flowers, and now they have been hybridized into this stunning cross.  Like all African Begonias, they have yellow flowers.  Interestingly, this cross possess purple-green in the leaves, which is absent from either species (both possessing bright green leaves).  The stems are also that nice purple color, and covered in white hairs.  It has the same wonderful corrugated leaf texture and hardy constitution.

Available plants are well rooted in 2″ pots.  They will be shipped potted.  The last photo is representative of the size plant you will receive.
