Sonerila aff. heterostamon

Sonerila aff. heterostamon is a species from SE Asia that has beautifully speckled leaves and magenta flowers.  I’m not sure this is true heterostamon, hence the aff.  It resembles aff. cantonensis in growth, and at first I thought them the same species, just different color forms.  It is an easy plant when kept in terrarium conditions, and flowers on and off throughout the year.  All Sonerilas that I’ve kept strongly prefer sphagnum moss over potting mix, so I would advise primarily sphagnum moss substrate.  This species reaches just over 12″ with time, but it takes a while to get there.

Available plants are well rooted in 2″ pots and stand about 6″ tall.  They will be shipped bare root.
