Sonerila aff. pulchella

$30

Sonerila are a diverse group of plants in the Melastomaceae family distinguished by having flowers with three petals (as opposed to five for most other plants in this group).  There seems to be alot of variation within a species, and so the ID of pulchella is a guess.

This Malaysian Sonerila has striking green and pink foliage which just gets more pronounced as the plant matures.  It is slower growing for an upright Sonerila but well worth the time.  As it grows, the dark green edges become dark pink.  Like many Sonerilas, it seems to nearly always be blooming.  It has only reached about 6″ tall for me but could maybe get larger in time.

The last photo is representative of the plants available.  They are well rooted, blooming sized plants shipped meticulously in their pots.
